Having a poor relationship with his parents and nowhere to live, Crayon is bound to Fern, the only person he can find any respect for. Crayon has an aggressive and hostile disposition, a trait his theriantype aids.
He and Fern lived in the Crescent, scavenging and terrorizing Aurora Point for food while living in Fern's decaying old home.
