The Wishes of the Altar logo can be seen. A globe object with a worried expression is in a dark area. A warping effect of colors can be seen around them before they appear in an office building with a relieved expression
Cut to black.
Madeline also known as Letter Block aged 34 pronouns she/her is seen in a car talking to somebody on the phone. She says with an annoyed expression "Annie- Annie. What is her name? ...Peridot. That's an object not a name." She mutters "Pretty object though..." Madeline is seen walking in a parking lot still talking on the phone. She says "Anem- Anemon- Annie. I'm here. Have her wait in my office."
Madeline walks down the halls of the office until she finds a room labeled "Cosmetics." She grabs a pair of fancy glasses and some lipstick and practices a fake smile in front of a door labeled "CEO." Her smile fades when the door in front of her opens on its own and she thinks "Who opened that."
Madeline enters the room and calls out "...Peri?" The globe object with a nervous expression on her face says "It's um Peridot please...?" Peridot thinks to herself "I hope she didn't notice... the thing with the door..."
Madeline walks behind the CEO desk and says "Sure. Peridot. So! You've seen..." Peridot also known as Globe age unknown she/her pronouns responds "An angel yes."
Madeline responds "Do not cut me off. Ever," to which Peridot apologizes. She continues "And you're sure you have what I'm looking for? We have a different line for Myrellian reports." Peridot answers "Yes it's um... an object with the anomalous ability..." Madeline interrupts "Yes okay. I published that.
Madeline smiles and asks "So... Can I see it...?" Peridot looks blankly and responds "Yes... I... I..." Peridot's speech is heavily warped as she sprouts angelic wings and rainbow energy appears around her.
Madeline panicked has sprouted into her therian form a spider as she begins to back away from Peridot. As her glasses fall to the floor and break she shouts "Woah woah HEY! CAINE! CAINE!!" She backs up against the wall afraid.
Madeline screams "CAINE!! AAAAHH!" as Peridot's shadow looms over her. Peridot then collapses unconscious in front of Madeline. Relieved she mutters "Oh... good. Makes sense... she changed so quick..."
Caine a balloon object with a sword on his back pokes his head into the room and says "Yes mama?" Madeline gestures to Peridot and says "Take this thing down to the R&D team. Quickly now. This is our one shot. Caine smiles with dark yellow teeth and responds "Yes ma'am!"
Ten years later on March 27th 2011 Caine also known as Balloon aged 26 he/him and yip/yips pronouns smiles at Madeline and says "It's smart you know. If we can't get what we need with all those guys interfering we'll just make 'em crush each other so we don't have to do all the work. Only you could have thought of it.
Madeline disinterested responds "You're only here to protect me if SHE shows up Caine." He replies "Yes Mom!!!" Madeline mutters "...Okay let's get it done. People are showing up."
Two hours later at the sixth annual Sora Festival Madeline speaks to an audience "To conclude as I'm sure many of you have heard from the journalists Sora Palace has been experimenting with... a real live angel. It's true! We wanted to take the chance to do... a little charity work. A real prize, an angel's wish. To just one lucky citizen. And to earn it, all you have to do is play a little game. I call it... 'Horizon'."
A crowd of objects raise their hands to ask questions. As the lights in the room break with popping sounds Madeline continues "To win... you have to be... the last object alive." Cries of alarm can be heard as Caine begins to teleport away with a warping effect of colors a large smile on his face.
