Monroe and Abraham are seen cuddling with each other on a mattress. Monroe mutters "Do you um want to talk about..." Abraham responds "There's nothing to say man. I told you I don't know what happened dude."
Monroe asks "At least about how we're going to eat?" Abraham answers "We'll just find people in the city to take from. It's fine. I'll handle it." When the two get up Monroe asks "Do you still have to carry me by the arms...?"
Abraham grabs the purple backpack and answers "Ugh not if you're gonna be like that about it." Monroe says "Oh... what else did you have in mind?" Abraham waves the backpack in front of him.
Elsewhere in the city...
Avery and Lance tensely stare at their assailant the gold stopwatch object. They monologue "You think that FRAGILE body is going to protect you from ME?! Oh no no NO."
Avery stands frozen in fear her heart racing. The object continues "If you come into MY side of the city then you bring me an OFFERING or you give me SERVITUDE!` The watch stands atop their turret object henchman who faces towards the two.
Avery mutters "I... I..." before fainting. The watch object says "Ah what a shame. I wanted to see her face...!" The silhouette of Abraham can be seen flying behind the object as they continue "Oh it is what it is. Is there anything you'd like to say now? Or do you have an offering to save yourselves?"
Lance says "What is... that?" as he points behind the watch towards Abraham. They respond "That's cute... You won't distract me." Abraham roars with smoke coming from his mouth.
The stopwatch object stares in fear as they hear the roar. A stream of fire hits the two assailants killing the watch. Abraham takes a breath.
Abraham readies another attack. Lance with an unconscious Avery on his back stares upward at him his shadow appearing over them. The turret object now burned turns to fire at Abraham.
Abraham attacks again. Lance stares onward as the turret object is burned. They scream "FUCK IT BURNS!!"
The turret object tips over, dead. Lance looks worried as the object crashes to the ground.
Abraham descends in front of Lance who hurriedly says "Wait wait WAIT! DON'T HIT HER!!" Abraham says nothing but takes off the purple backpack he is wearing. Monroe weakly crawls out of the backpack.
Abraham asks Lance "Got anything I can use bitch? The only reason I didn't touch you is 'cause you look fucking harmless." Lance responds "Your friend is very hurt. I'm a nurse I can help him at home!" As Abraham looks in the back of the nearby car he says "Fancy school and all huh? We've never gone to any but I know what'll heal when I see it alright?"
Lance says "A break wouldn't kill you would it? I mean isn't it hot out here? I could run the generator and cool it down. Abraham who was checking the car's sun visor turns around and stares with big wet eyes. He asks "You have electricity?"
At the Walker farm...
The sound of a running generator can be heard in the garage, and several gas cans as well as a medical vial of estrogen in Avery's name can be seen. Abraham is sitting next to a battered Monroe. Lance points at a wound on Monroe's hand which is leaking a glistening black liquid and says "That... is hallicon."
Lance continues "When you eat it grows. Your whole body." He gestures across his body as he says this. Abraham says "Say if I uh... had a really fucking big cookie. I don't grow that much now do I." As Lance puts a spoon of soup in Monroe's mouth he mutters "Really not joking about never going to school huh..."
Abraham angrily responds "Look bitch I was disowned and he's an orphan. We live in the fucking Crescent. So forgive us for being a little uneducated." Lance calmly responds "Hm... That's not my name. What's my name? You know, don't you?"
Abraham answers "Uhh. Lance Walker?" Lance responds "Good. And you're Abraham Smith. That's what we call ectohormones. The hallicon squishes up and slowly releases that stuff. That's how you can get to know someone just by looking at them. Watch." Lance removes a spoon from within his arm and continues "And when you pocket something it squishes up too to make room and expands to fill space later. It's the same idea." Avery grabs some bandages from a shelf.
Avery places bandages on Monroe's face and says "These bandages should keep it in place though. Now um do you two have anywhere to go or..." Lance responds "He's gonna need more time... Do you two object to staying the night at all?" Abraham answers "IF and only IF Monroe needs it I wouldn't say no to a bed or something like that."
At nighttime... Monroe lays in bed with bandages covering his body.
Monroe thinks "I'm going to miss this feeling when it's time to go home."
